Remaining early voting hours at the Auditor’s Office:
Monday, November 4, 8am–4:30pm
No remaining dates and times for early voting at a satellite location.

ID required for early voting
A government issued photo ID with expiration date is required such as:
- Iowa Driver’s License
- Iowa Non-Operator ID
- Iowa Voter Identification Card (with PIN number and signature line)
- Out-of-state driver’s license–with proof of current Iowa address

Note: most Student IDs can’t be used
You can register and vote early at the same time
If your ID doesn’t show your current address, you’ll need to provide proof of your address. Examples:
- Residential lease
- Utility bill
- Cell phone bill
- Bank statement
- Paycheck
- Other government document
The deadline has passed for submitting an absentee ballot request. Please plan on voting in person.
RETURN YOUR BALLOT
IT’S TOO LATE TO RETURN YOUR BALLOT BY US MAIL: As of Nov 4, it is recommended to return your ballot by hand due to possible postal delays.
If you still have an unmailed ballot here is what to do:
On Nov 4 do one of the following:
- Put your ballot in the drop box near the Auditor’s Office
- Hand the ballot to the Auditor’s Office staff
- Ask a relative to return your ballot
- Call the Auditor’s Office for help
On Nov 5, Election Day, do one of the following:
- Put your ballot in the drop box near the Auditor’s Office by 8pm, Nov 5
- Hand the ballot to the Auditor’s Office staff by 8pm, Nov 5
- Bring your unmailed ballot to your polling place. Poll workers will take that unsent ballot and then allow you to vote with a fresh ballot. To find your polling place go to iwillvote.com

If your ID doesn’t show your current address, you’ll be asked for proof of address (paper or digital) with your name, current address, valid within the last 45 days. Examples:
- Utility bill
- Cell phone bill
- Bank statement
- Paycheck
